Update from the Wet State

Just a note to let people know we're ok and dry. It does flood in parts of my town, but not in our condo area. My MIL has water in her basement though (she's 15 minutes away).

Alan's school has a 1/2 day today - and the superintendant stuck a reminder to vote for tommorrow's budget on the end of the message!

DH came home and is working from home due to the weather. I'm not sure if I'm going or not - can't find much bus info (they talk about trains only it seems).

Morning Office E-Mail

(I removed the company name for now)

On Wednesday, April 25th we will have the pleasure of hosting cast and crew from ***, which will feature interviews with ***, *** and **. In addition, they will be filming “everyday life” at ***, so please expect to see them throughout the office filming employees at work. If you would prefer not to be on camera, please send me an email advising me of such.

If you would like to learn more about the World Business Review, please visit their website at: http://www.wbrtv.com/.

So, I could be in the background. Will advise when it is to air.

Lovely

Alan usually attends a public school program for 2 1/2 hours, then down the block to daycare the rest of the day.

Well today, the public school had 1/2 a day due to the weather, so he'd get out early. I tried to call the daycare this AM, got a message that they were opening at 8, so left a message that Alan would need pickup at 10:05.

Ended up working from home today as well as DH. Around 10:35 got a call from the public school, they'd gotten an e-mail that the daycare was closed (there are several students that go over there for the rest of the day) and I needed to get him. Good thing I was working at home, my MIL couldn't get him (she'd drive through a flooded area and her basement is flooding). I'm very annoyed that daycare didn't contact the parents about the closing.

So I'm working at home with WonderPets on in the background. Sigh. (DH can't work with the tv on.)
