Happy New Year
Happy 2009! Should be better than 2008, I can only hope (not just for me, but many other people).
Finally get a chance to post - it's been crazy busy with all of us being home since 12/23. Cold is gone and so are the holiday decorations (one tablecloth left to pack up). It looks so bare, I think I need Valentine's decorations (I see a trip to the dollar store in my future!)
Holiday sales must have been awful - way, way too much left everywhere even at 50% and 75% off. (I don't think I helped or hurt since we don't do much stuff even in a good year). I'm sure there will be be deals on winter clothes to clean them out. The one and only surprise I saw in that regard was that the sled/winter gear aisle in our Target was empty - but that storm the week before Xmas did it - usually the stuff lingers till the end of the season (Alan's sleds are end of the season bargains from a few years back!)
World seems a bit nuts with the Israel/Hamas conflict. Turns out (as usual) I'm connected to someone in that region on a mailing list. Weird thinking that life goes on, even with fear of rocket attacks. (When I type that I get visions of model rockets being shot off - guess that's better than the reality).
Anyway, DH is calling and I have to go.
