When I first got an AOL account in 1997, I tried to type in my whole name (which was my Juno e-mail at the time). My then last name (my ex's) was cutoff at pear from pearson - so I became lesliepear. I've kept it as my nom d'internet ever since (with rare exceptions).
I have no particular love of pears!
