We never bought into the whoel Chanukah bush thing at my house nor did Jeff growing up but I think we both grew up more conservative and observant than you did. We decorate the house for Chanukah with garland (blue with stars of David) and have the kids make paper chains to hang around. This year we might have them color dreidels and menorahs to hang up too.
