Commentary from Blogging Baby
I fed Alan Carnation Good Start (it's previous name, probably because Carnation was associated with milk) from when he was 6 months old, till he quit formula around a year. I switched him from whatever he started on (can't remember if it was Enfamil or Similac) then because he was eating solids and I figured he'd be getting some nutrition from them, and it was much cheaper (a free coupon helped sway me also). Alan was partially breast fed also. It's still scary to think that formula isn't up to standards and that quality assurance/quality control isn't doing its job. Hopefully this was just a bad batch and not a problem with the whole product.
