Wow - 4 years

Yesterday marked 4 years on this job. *If* I make it to 5 years, that will be the longest I've ever been at one job. I'm not sure whether Wang (9/1985-5/1989) or Interim/Spherion (8/1997-11/2001) lasted longer - I was kind of irked I didn't make to 100% vesting (5 years) at Spherion, but I basically lost my job due to 9/11.

My LJ turns 4 this month also. Coincidence? Perhaps :)

I actually used to use a Wang computer! Long, long ago in a CPM-86 far away...

Thanks. 4 years is a long time these days.

I do know someone who's worked for 1 employer since college - over 20 years ago - that's rare. (She works for Bristol Meyers Squib, she had a chemistry degree).

In my senior year in college Wang (who was local to us) donated some word processors to us. I wasn't impressed with them - I used the minicomputer and my TRS-80 instead. Little did I know 2 years later I would work for them. I still have my autographed copy of Dr. An Wang's biography - he was the founder, his computer science educated son ran the company to the ground by not getting truly into PC's till too late!
