Second Life?

Read this story in Business week at doctor's today

Anyone play this game? I've not done any virtual life stuff (tried the Sims a little) and yet this looks like I might want to try it.

I'm a fan/player of the aforementioned World of Warcraft, which is a fantasy role playing game where you can be a elf, orc, minotaur, human, etc. For me - I don't see the appeal of a Sims type game, or even an RPG that is based in reality. I want any game I spend a signifigant amount of time playing to be signifigantly different from my real life - cause like...I already have a real life! I know the Sims has a huge fanbase so obviously there are many people out there who don't share my opinion. To each his or her own, eh?
