Posting while waiting for a software install.
Haven’t been feeling posty lately. No reason that I can think of, except lack of time. Was busy on the three day weekend – visited my SIL on Sunday for her birthday, then on Monday DH’s uncle unexpectedly came over my MIL’s, so we went there. At least DH finally got just about all of his laundry pile away and most of the unmatched odd socks got matched. (I still have a zip loc bag on the bottom of the hamper of odd socks, I even have odd tiny socks of Alan’s that he wore as a baby…I think I should toss those or freecycle them already!)
Find of the weekend: .25 cents for a Santa Take A Long Thomas at Target. Last one, just hidden in the 75% off toy aisle. No idea where they got the price from, but we were happy!
Weirdness: Alan had bright green #2 yesterday. He had been eating a lot of bread which had gotten moldy (the bad parents didn’t see it). At least that seems to be have been the only problem from that.
Alan still is a trial to me. He doesn’t seem to pay much attention to what I say. He also still won’t sit on the potty (we keep missing his clues for the #2 alas.). He also doesn’t dress himself or sleep in his bed by himself. He insists on sleeping on the sofa with Mommy AND Daddy. I wouldn’t care if he needed a parent for a little bit, but not both of us. And it would be easier if he were in his room to start (a middle of the night crawl in wouldn’t bother me either). I suspect a lot of this is that he needs MORE sleep, but it is so hard to get him to bed early (9 PM is what I’d like). He’s also a TV addict, although he’s better about it when he’s not home (just as he is about #1 on the potty).
It finally got cold here. But no bad weather, so no “snow” days like many other online friends have been sharing. I hope Alan gets to use his sled, snow pants and boots soon. He’s never really played in the snow – timing was off, or he’d have a cold.

And we are still waiting for his OT (occupational therapy) to start through the school district –there’s a call into find out when it will happen. Hopefully it will be as helpful as the speech teachers have been to him.
