Random

The condo maintenance men came by today. We have to clean up our patio, apparently the town is coming by to check the condo's railings next week. Good, let the officials be the one to complain. It's an election year, something might happen.

My gynecologist called. She gotten my fax about my thyca operation. (I didn't think the surgeon or endocrinologist ever let her know). She was surprised but pleased I told her - I told her I'd be ok. She said she feels a lot of thyroids. I told her I'd be in to have my lower 1/2 checked in December (annual appointment):) (She'd spotted the lump at this year's checkup).

Ibuprofin?

I read/heard somewhere that the dosage on it, since it's non prescription, is less than what used to be prescribed and you can safely take more. It says on the bottle - take maxium 6 200 mg in 24 hours. Do you know what the amount is? It was the only thing that helped my hypothyroid headache (which comes and goes, hopefully once I'm on the synthroid I can get rid of it for a while.)

Weirdness

I get a call from a friend tonight. She's now in the same hospital I was in. Not for the same reason, I was, she's in for gastroentertis (she's prone to this sort of thing). She isn't on my floor, for lack of space, she wound up on the oncology unit in the 3rd floor with no roomate. She should be going home tommorrow, although I did offer to visit (imagine if saw one of my nurses). Actually, its too bad the nice student LPN's I had weren't around.

As long as she's not contagious, we'll try to visit this weekend. I'm really not prone to this sort of thing, but throwing up probably wouldn't be a good idea with my recent thyroiddectomy. As it is I tend to wear out my voice from time to time.

The funny thing was I'd hoped the next time I visit that hospital was when she and her husband had a baby - they're trying.
