Random Musings

Woke up early this, not feeling well. Alan was up early also. I turned on the tv at 5:50 or so in the morning and what do I see -  a TV ad on channel 2 (NYC) for my alma matter - Worcester Polytechnic Institute. An ad for a school in in Worcester, MA on NYC tv! It's probably cheap at that hour but still I don't think the schools known around here (25 years ago I got a brochure from the SAT mailing list and found it).

Looked at the new Gymboree holiday lines. Blech! Not that Alan needs very dressy holiday stuff, but I'm glad I've got vintage (older, brighter, cuter) stuff for anything that comes up around the holidays (office party, family party). I'll be just getting a few odds and ends with my gymbuck, but that's it. Of course I'm still sorting out way too many clothes for him.

Have a coaching session at work. Company speak for reviews/interaction on a monthly basis. Hope it goes ok. Everyone is supposed to get one, but I feel the manager doesn't know me that well since he became our manager in June. He wears a lot of hats being CTO and Q/A manager so we don't see him a lot. But he's focused on our product line unlike the last manager -- brought in from another office - trying to manage us (who were very upset about our manager leaving) and his own Q/A group (who have a nightmare of a product!) Fortunately, he left. Even when he was in our office, 1/2 the time he was on the phone with the other office!

The little flight suit and flight cap are cute...but I don't really care for anything else in the boys line, either. The girls' holiday line is cute, though. :)

Someday I hope to have a little girl to shop for :)

I checked out Gymboree the other day too, and was thoroughly unimpressed. The older our boys get, the less inspiring their clothes are. I found some cute Halloween outfits at Target last night, but the one I wanted wasn't in his size. I may hit the Target on the other side of town to see if they do.

I was looking for something with a black cat on it for Alan - they had a girls shirt at Target that wasn't really girly - orange shirt/black cat - but it was too big for Alan (only came down to a 4, Alan needs a 2T - the toddler shirts were very girly/boyish).

Why can't boys have cats? I miss my 2 black cats, this is my first Halloween in a long time without them. (One was rehomed, the other was put to sleep in June.)

I know the shirt you mean, and it's the same one I wanted too. No 2Ts either.

I remember about your kitties :( I never had a black one, but any kitty is special.
