Gift Size Question

I finally decided to get a baby gift for my friend with the fraternal twins born last month.

Gymboree has 2 cute 1 piece pj's long sleeve/long leg, but footless out now and a blanket that matches both of them. So 1 of each PJ + 2 blankets would be nice, I think.

I'm trying to decide if 6-12, or 12-18 months would be a better gift size. Some people like to size up in Gymboree as they are very tight fiting. I figure 6-12 would fit early fall, but 12-18 would fit spring (or earlier).

Ideas?

I'd go bigger.

I'd go for the 6-12 month size. I was given some stuff for Beth when she was born that were for 18 months and so I put them away, and forgot about them. When I did remember them they didn't fit :(
I love those :)

I really appreciated having larger sizes--esp in the 12 month range. Everyone wants to buy teeny weeny clothes. :)

Go for the 6-12 month size. I got tons of clothes for Arabis that were newborn through 6 months and just as many that were 12-18 months. I got almost *nothing* for the 6-12 month range (which is where she is right now).

They are amazingly cute, by the way.

I may be bizarre but I immediately get rid of any one piece pyjamas or outfits that I get as gifts. I hate them. So i only get people 2-piece outfits for baby gifts. :-)
