Today's update

Clothing challenge (orange):

Me: denim shirt with fall embroidery (needed orange, this was about the only thing I could find), khaki pants, blue socks with oranges on them

Alan: Lined Plaid shirt with orange and gray, matching gray pants (from Gymboree's Construction Zone line), orange baby gap socks with a crane on them.

Stopped at Radio Shack last night and got the cable I need to hook up my DVD again. I plan to send the junky Daewood back (they called and will send a box and a shipping tag) and when it returns hook it up in the less used bedroom.

This morning Alan was hard to dress. And he wanted waffles which is not something I want to make at 7:45 when we should leave. He managed to eat 1/2 of it.

Our former sitter's daughter saw me while waiting for the bus. We hadn't heard from them in a long time, glad to see they are still in town.

Then while walking to work I spotted a little boy in this Hanna Anderson jacket (I wish I'd gotten one when Alan could fit in them - they stop at size 2t):

and then when I went to Starbucks I saw a baby in this odd looking stroller (the green one):

Maybe in NYC you need a studier stroller, but I can't see spending 700.00 on one. I do regret the Graco one Alan used between the time he outgrew the car seat carrier,

(similiar to: http://www.gracobaby.com/catalog/product.aspx?productSubBrand=GliderĀ®%20Stroller&modelNumber=6987FMT&CategoryID=2)

and the umbrella stroller - but at least I only spent about 50.00 on it (after a 25.00 credit from a snowsuit I returned).

Eye doctor tonight (checkup) and pickup my gymbucks holds. From what I've heard online, I'm glad I'm waiting - gymboree really doesn't do well technically (website or cashregisters) on superbusy days. I'd offer my services as a software tester for them, but alas they are in California and I'm in NJ.

Stroller

I'm sorry, but that has to be the most *ridiculous* looking and impractical strollers I have ever seen. And $750? I spent less than half that for my first car (granted that was 24 years ago, but today it's considered a classic)!

We ended up buying our first stroller about a month ago, the Graco Mosaic as shown here:

I'm still trying to get used to it as I've always carried Arabis in a sling or Baby Bjorn. She seems so far away down there! If nothing else, it's good for putting the groceries in!

That stroller was getting a lot of attention in Starbucks when I was there.

I think your Graco at least corrects the design flaw mine has, where the basket slants inward making it hold less than it should.

What does Arabis think of it - sadly I never got the hang of slings, I did have the wrong one (an Over-the-shoulder-baby-holder) for me.

Just from a physics point of view, that $700 or $750 or whatever stroller looks curiously top-heavy.

We have the same Graco one you have. I agree on the design flaw. Also we have a jogging stroller.
I actually LOVE that stroller you saw in NYC, how it transitions, how it keeps baby toddler up a bit. There's no way I can justify getting one but they're nice.

Thats a pretty cool looking stroller, but WAY out of my price range. I think I spent that much on my daughters crib, stroller, and car seat combined.

Speaking of strollers hehe, here is the one I'm getting for when I have two kiddos. Even though my daughter is also 3, she doesnt like to walk around the mall at all. She's a natural born rider... likes to kick back and take in the scenery lol!

Yeah I worked at gymbo on day one of gymbucks redemtion. It was quite crazy from 7-9. Basically everyone was grabbing everything in their kids size, then sorting through the pile of what they really wanted. They were all just afraid of someone taking their size.
