How to clean a car seat?

Last night Alan threw up in the car (very unexpected and very rare for him). He's ok - but the car seat still smells. I had taken it inside and tried to clean it with Nature's Miracle - but it appears that I will have to dissamble it and wash it. He has a Graco combo booster (the ones that have a harness to 40 lbs and then go to 80 lbs). Any hints on this would be appreciated.

(I'm glad he basically threw up on him and car seat, he didn't get the car's back seat all.)

We took the cover and the harness and everything off and put it in the washing machine, then hosed off the actual base. It does take a fair while to dry, though. Fortunately, each time it's happened, we have been places where we haven't had to drive for a day or so afterwards.

The first time, we got the febreeze happening as well, because there was a ghost smell.

Hmmm, wonders if the people who bought the old car still get waft of baby spew every now and then, when it's hot?

Well I washed the cover tonight and cleaned the base and harness up. We have 2 cars so we'll use the other car with the other seat tommorrow and it should be all ready to go for Sunday.
