Packing with the TSA Rules these days

I’m not sure how to pack some stuff with the new rules.

Do any of these in my purse need to go into a plastic bag – lip balm, asthma inhaler, sanitizing gel, face powder, baby wipes in a plastic case (or should I just get a premaid travel package of wipes), antibacterial wipes? Is it ok to take hard candy or mints? Is fruit ok to bring?

Can I pack a juice box for Alan in his bag (he’s 4)? If I want to pack some hot wheel toys (metal) in his backpack is that ok?

Is it ok to use a ziploc bag for non liquids – I want to take my thyroid pills/asthma disc on the plane? But I have restatsis eye gel, should I put that in a bag and take it, or just check it in my toiletry bag? If you have a small amount of items, can you use a smaller zip loc bag (sandwich size)?

Is there any problem checking a car seat and stuffing jackets in with seat in its case?

Fruit- depends on where you're flying. Technically, you can't bring any fruit into California. But, I don't think that's where you're flying. :)

Nope, NJ to Florida and back. Most likely to be eating oranges on the trip back :)
