Snow, snow, snow, snow

...there's snow school today! (an old WBCN Big Mattress jingle)

Despite the earworm above, we only got about 1/2 an inch in NJ and none in NYC. So I guess we've officially had snow for 2006-2007.

Today's song on the radio when we got into the car was "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. Alan said he liked it. I wonder if he will like "The Breakfast Club" movie when he is a teenager. I was a few years out of HS when it came out (I was even out of college) - but I could relate.

I connected 2 LJ friends yesterday (sadly over common medical issues). I like being able to do that - it makes the online world a little closer.

Alan's changing his loyalties these days. He now prefers Hot Wheels to Thomas the Tank Engine. And over Hot Wheels is Batman (from the cartoons). I don't think it's time to put away the train set yet though. (That I do plan to keep for future generations, we collected so much stuff, especially the wooden stuff).

We got so little snow that it wasn't even worth shoveling. It did look pretty though.

Benjamin gave up on Thomas when he was 4. It was disappointing. We still have the table set up in his room but he hardly touches it. Although he will play with the ones at the library and the toy store. Caitlyn has been using Thomas though so we haven't folded up the table yet.
