The squeaky wheel....
Remember I posted about my college reunion being held on Halloween?
I decided to get involved with the reunion committee to see if that could be changed.
Well, it's looking a lot like it will be changed to June. And the college is looking into child care for attendees (the classes of 1989 and 1999 are also attending that weekend and they'd more likely have younger kids).
Glad I got involved!

I feel so old -- 25th college, followed by 30th HS. It would be Mark's 30th HS reunion this year, he won't go though.

I feel very little social affinity to my university, but it means a lot more to me overall. I spent a lot more time there than in high school, and learned a lot more, but socially it was a place where I met a few individual friends.
By contrast, high school was part of a long social experience that began with late elementary school, continued with junior high, and then high school, all with a gradually expanding social environment. But although I remember a lot more people from there, I don't feel the same attachment to the institution.
But because reunions are social events, I'd go to one for high school and probably not for college, unless the university did its reunions by department; I might enjoy a computer science department reunion, if such a thing were to happen, but not an all-campus reunion.
