My weekend

I had a quiet weekend. Saturday we had part 2 of the childcare class. The hospital (Hackensack University Hospital in Hackensack, NJ) had a big women's health faire going on (we didn't visit) and it was hard to find parking. When we walked into the lobby and waited to get directions to the class, a small group of people in suits walked out. The women at the desk said that was (NJ) Govenor McGreevy and his wife. His wife was speaking at the faire - I did notice they were holding hands as they left the building :)

Later we went to a party held at the home of a co-worker of my husband. It was in a somewhat rural part of NJ, and the house was so adorable - it had been added on to here and there and had a nice character. It was also beautifully furnished, the previous owners were a gay couple and very into decorating (the current owners moved in May and had to do very little!) Unfortunately, I got stung on the arm by a yellow jacket. I got swollen, but it turned out one of the guests was a pediatrician and recommended I take a benadril. It helped, although I was kind of sleepy at the rest of the party :( I still have some redness and swelling today and if I scratch it - it itches, but I think I will be ok - just another one of my everything but pregnancy problems I've had so far).

Today I'm home for Yom Kippor. Not fasting, not going to temple, but I won't go to work today. And tonight we are going out to the never ending pasta bowl at Olive Garden. (It isn't what you think, the second bowl is a lot smaller than the first one, I *think* if you keep going after that, you wind up with a portion of one noodle with a spoon of sauce .)
