Typing while Alan's sleeping...
My mood has been better lately, but I'm still sleepy from the Zoloft. I
want to discuss this with the doctor on the 20th...I had taken Paxil
years ago, but was able to manage the sleepies with taking the pill at
night (not good with a baby, though.) If I weren't breastfeeding, I'd be
doing cafiene a LOT! I'm not even sure I'll stick with the meds and the
PPD group past the beginning of the year, they have no night meetings and
I had a bad experience at last week's Dr appointment (basically they
didn't handle rescheduling due to snow very well) - and I was the only
one @ PPD today - it was raining, nothing horrible (but I do live very
close to the group's meeting place, perhaps I was the closest?)
Tommorrow I have mother baby group - hopefully SOMEONE will show up. Then
I get a free visit from the town's public health nurse (they sent me a
letter about it, so I'm taking them up on it - might as well use the tax
dollars I pay) and then off to highlighting and a good haircut while my
MIL watches Alan :)
Alan's doing OK. I think he weighs about 10.5-11 lbs. I think he will
just be small (some baby has to be). I bf as much as can (I'm not
currently pumping) and give him 1-2 bottles of formula a day (about 4 oz
each). I still haven't figured out what to do when I'm back at work, I
may wait till the doctor's appointment on the 18th. He seems to have lost
some of his baby hair (the longer hair that was my haircolor). Now he's
got mostly blonde fuzz - the dark blonde/brown hair is on the edges and
back like a balding man. He's got some skin bumps and blotches - perhaps
acne or allergies? He is p*ing in his diapers and p*ping just about once
a day but also spits up and is hard to burp :(
