Friday Five

1. Where do you currently work?
New York City for a financial software company. I do Q/A on software (aka "I get paid to break things!")

2. How many other jobs have you had and where?
Since college graduation, I've had 10 jobs in the computer field - from 3.5 weeks (folding startup) to over 4 years in one place. I've done some other part-time jobs also.
I've had computer jobs in Mass, NH, New York and even brief consulting in NJ.

3. What do you like best about your job?
the people are nice, and they let me pump breast milk.

4. What do you like least about your job?
It's in NYC and is financial software. I *hate* math. I also hate commuting to NYC.

5. What is your dream job?
Something close to home in NJ, and doesn't deal with financial software.

Not so good and good things

I was very happy to find the PPD group I'd hooked up was moving to evenings. The first one was to be this monday which was really good since I'm off that day. Unfortunately, Monday is my SIL's birthday so were doing a family dinner. Oh well.

When I got home tonight, I had a message from a company in Upper Saddle River, NJ about a job ad I'd answered. If this worked out, it would be GREAT not to commute to NYC. I'll follow up this week.
