Aug. 10th, 2004 12:05 pm- Do you think yogurt drinks are good for children? I've given Alan some on occasion but prefer the Stoneyfield Farm organic kind as I think the other brands like Dannon might have too much sugar to offset the benefits of yogurt. At 21 months I'd rather not use the squeeze yogurt unless it is in a sippy cup.
- Do you give your kids fruit snacks (the ones in the little bags, that look like gummy candy)? I'm afraid to give them to Alan, perhaps because of his missing teeth, I also think they are junky.
- Do you ever buy toys for an older age than your child is? I notice a BIG divide in what is available for over age 3 (due to the chocking issue). I have bought some over 3 toys for Alan but decided not to give him the matchbox/hotwheel toys I got - I'm afraid of him mouthing them. He does have a 3+ keyboard he plays with - he likes to push the demo buttons on it.
- What do you think of light up shoes? Do the lights last? I was considering a pair for Alan (they have cute Elmo ones with velcro) but wonder if they are worth it. Why do almost all kids sneakers have some character or another on them? Alan can't wear the zip up ones due to his foot shape, so I prefer velcro or tie ones.
