I think I've got most of the problems solved. It's going for inspection tommorrow. The guy who sold it to us did put *2* speakers in the rear. Not sure what kind they are as I have to look by daylight. But I will have to get front ones - the rear ones sound horrible with a lot of bass (like rock drums), it needs front speakers to soften things. Also I don't want the stereo right in Alan's ear, 4 speakers will balance it a bit.

(Lesson learned from googling on j-body cars - GM Stereos are horrible to mess with - best to leave the factory stereo ALONE unless you really know what you are doing)

(J-Body is the "type" of car body the Cavilier is - it's the twin to the Pontiac Sunfire and maybe some other ones)

Two minor things to bring back to the dealer at some point - two rear window defogger strips are out and the cigarette lighter plug by the steering wheel doesn't work (but the one on the passenger side does). Won't be a big deal as the car is still under factory warantee.

But I have a ticket on the car. The street I park my car on has a resident parking restriction since it is right off the bus line. (I get a free sticker, even though I don't live on THAT street). So they *DO* check for parking stickers - and they spotted my REJECTED inspection sticker and left me a $130.00 ticket for failure to repair. Even though I have 45 days to get the car reinspected - I got that stupid ticket. So now I have to go to traffic court 12/21. I didn't tell Mark yet. I wish there were another option than going to court and sitting through other stuff - weddings and serious criminals in handcuffs - just to apologize and maybe pay court costs. (Oddly enough I drove around for well over a month on my Escort with an expired registration sticker before getting a ticket ...I think the cops recognized my car and just drove by on their daily rounds.)

If you agree with this statement, post it in your journal:

I'm
pro-choice, and I would have an abortion.

*If pregnancy is
not in the theoretical cards for you but you want to participate, feel free to
substitute the statement "I am pro-choice." The implications are slightly
different, but solidarity is just as important.

Would yes, but I hope I never have to make that choice - I'm not sure what I'd do if it actually happened.

In my view of things women should have the right to make that choice and the respect for making the decision no matter what their personal choice is.

I would not want to have to deal with protestors when I could be upset enough already going through this.
