Today I had a day off work. Didn't mean I didn't do stuff though.

I dropped Alan off at his early morning class to say hi to the teacher. I saw the famous "pegboard" - it's exactly like the one I ordered for him. He'll be happy. Then I dropped off lunch money at his daycare and dropped sheets/towels/comforters to be washed/folded at the laundry. Next to my former OB/GYN's office to get my records and then to her new office. She'd printed the wrong address on her card, but I found her (note 17 Prospect Street is not the same as 170 Prospect Street, the former doesn't exist!). It was nice to see her. I have a little bacterial infection, got a prescription, also got my mamogram prescription and had a pap test. Asked about Mirena due to messy times...it's fine but it is 650.00. I have to think about it - she's out of network and will my insurance even cover it (we can get a medical reason). (She's my only out of network doctor. At the old office it was them or Sloan Kettering as each would be excluded on one network. Now she's not even on a plan I can choose - but as long as it's 1x a year, I can deal...the insurance will cover the lab and the mamogram anyway).

Then to walk the mall. Got some things for Alan in Penneys, Janie and Jack (one t-neck), and Old Navy (I miss the Old Navy in the city I'd go to 1x a week). Had a Taco Bell cheese/bean/rice burrito for lunch. Didn't see much for me.

Next up was my allergist. I need to use my Advair regularly (I knew this, but what I had was expired). But they like me there and I like them. I'll come back over the summer. Then off to Target. Filled 2 prescriptions, returned a shirt, got a storage tote, thomas trains, 2 clearance shirts for Alan (1.24 and .98) and cute flip flops and a bath fizzie at the dollar section which was 50 percent off. I also had a 10 percent off visa discount. But I left one bag at the store with 1 shirt and 2 trains. I'll have to go back tommorrow.

Then off to town court. As usual there was civil wedding first. But the court went really slow. They only had one prosecutor instead of the usual 2. But there was a case from another town that didn't look easy - older man and children incident in a park (assult by the man, who was defending his grandson). I think it tied up a lot of the prosecutors time to settle it. There was also a corporate jet caterer who had 10,000.00 in a bad check and was owed a total of 40,000.00 by his client. The hearing was to see if there was proof to charge them and it was - especially since the accused didn't show up! At least this time there were no prisoners in handcuffs and orange jumpsuits getting charged.

I ended up finally seeing the prosecutor well after 6 PM (Been there since 4). She agreed to waive the inspection violation but I'd pay 36.00 court costs. That was the best I could do. (The law has 30 days after inspection to get repairs, I'd had repairs done, but couldn't get the inspection till Saturday.) And once I was done with the judge it took at least 15 minutes for the clerks to get to me so I could hand them a check - they were busy or on break or serving as an interpreter. Sigh. (I was caught because I parked on the parking permit street where you need a permit to park between 9-10 AM. The permit was free as I'm a resident...they just don't want out of towners tying up the parking for buses.)

On my way home I mailed the letters the postman forgot to pick up. And I got my laundry. Turns out there was someone else's stuff in folded laundry. I'll bring it back tommorrow - I did get all my stuff though. And I'll go to Target to retrieve the missing items.

Had to take care of Alan for a bit as Mark's trying to fix some massive spreadsheet for work. I think he's frustrated, wish I could help...but it's one of those times it's best not to.

Back to the old grind tommorrow :(
