I dressed Alan up today for yet another photo – the daycare is doing their photos today – I put him in a cute Hawaiian shirt outfit as I didn’t want or need a fancy Easter outfit this year (Yes, it’s Gymboree…every formal photo he’s had has been in it!)
Oddly enough, the photos from the public school came back yesterday. They are ok, it appears that the makeup I put over that still not healed scrape on his forehead did cover it enough (this photographer doesn’t retouch…or so they say). So I have 5 sheets and I have to decide which to buy (same pose, different sizes/formats). I’ll probably get the two 5x7 (or is 3.5 x 5) ones and maybe the wallets. I wouldn’t want the sticker sized ones anyway. I’ll scan the largest one (the 8x10) this weekend to put online.
He’s in daycare all day today because of the photos. I don’t think 1 day being there all day will hurt him. He’ll be there all day the week of the 24th as that is Little Ferry’s spring break. Why they do it the week AFTER Easter I have no clue, it must be the same person who put open school night on Passover.
(And they sent home a note LAST NIGHT urging people to go the PTA meeting where I think they will yet again push the budget. The meeting was last night, so rather short notice).
I was relieved to see PTA spelled right. The official abbreviation of PTA does NOT have periods in it. My mother worked her way up to NY State PTA bylaws chairman and was very adamant about it being done right. (This was in the 1970’s, pre word processing, so we had file cabinets of chapter by laws in our spare bedroom – it must be so much easier now with Microsoft Word documents.)
The photos at daycare are prepaid – I got the smallest package with a 5 x 7 in it, and the “memory mate” – they do a class photo and put an individual one on top – it looks really nice. They also do airbrush for a small charge, which is nice.
I really should get some Dermablend though for his forehead scrape. I have some left over from my thyroid surgery (I used it to cover my healing neck scar) and it covers his face well, but is too dark for Alan. He needs a very light shade.
I’m also bummed that my Creative Zen Micro MP3 player died. It was working at home but needed a charge, so I figured I’d take it and the charger to work and recharge it. But now it crashes with the creative logo on the screen and makes a weird sound when it starts. I hope it didn’t crash the hard drive?
Tonight I will go to Wal-Mart and hopefully get new glasses. I’m so tired of wearing my sun sensors all the time. Hopefully I can get 2 new pairs – one regular and one sunglass (or sun sensor) or at least a regular with a sunglass clip-on.
Is anyone else totally uninterested in a movie about 9/11? There are 2 coming out – the “Flight 93” movie and the Oliver Stone one. I figure the anti-movie sentiment is strong here in NY/NJ, I wonder how the rest of the country feels?
Just tried Dollar Tree Direct to see if we could get cheaper Boost drink for Alan and Mark. No, the warehouse is all out. Bummer. (Yes, Dollar Tree has a toll free # 877-530-8733 that you can call to get large quantities of stuff!)
I guess I should get back to work and stop rambling. So unmotivated lately.
