Still don't feel great (sniffly, soar throat). But I'm at work. Alan was a total pain today getting ready. Maybe he's confused with Mark working from home today but he threw a total hissy fit getting his coat on. And on the way out I managed to drop a glass on the condo stairs (I use it for my college fair stuff). So I was late again. At least Mark sees what I deal with daily.
I found out the division head of another division of our company is gone, 1 month after he was hired. The notice claims differing opinions of direction in the business - but I'd love to know the REAL truth, but us peons never will. At least the CEO of our division appears to get along with the CEO of the company (not that we see that CEO much either).
I found a possible solution for Alan's birthday party in October. Assuming we can find a good date, we can hold it at the park at the end of our street. It has a small picnic area (some of which is covered) and a playground. That's all we'd need - we can invite whomever, bring our own food and decorations and avoid the Chuck E Cheese madness - and the parents could talk if they wanted - and if there were a last minute change in plans, we wouldn't be stuck paying for someone (perhaps extra stuff would be leftover but it could be reused). It's probably the next best thing to having a party in our yard if we had one. I e-mailed the town to see if we need a permit or anything.
