Weekend update
Apr. 30th, 2006 11:31 pmWell, it was a busy weekend even if we didn't go anywhere special.
Today we went to the supermarket. We had lunch and I cleaned our patio - vaccuumed and picked up most of the leaves/pollen/spiky things from the carpet out there (I don't think it will every be perfect, but looks cared for). Also cleaned up the furniture, the storage box and the grill. Took in the tablecloth and cushions to wash.
Then we went to the Farmer's Market/Corrados/Big Lots/Dollar Tree. Got some good fruit between the Farmer's Market and Corrados and some odds and ends at Big Lots and Dollar Tree (got some high end hair conditioner for a dollar and also juicy juice drink boxes 4 for 1.00)
Came home and then went to my MILs. Dropped off the outgrown winter stuff, retrieved the rest of summer stuff and the stuff I want to bring to the clothing swap.
On top of everything this weekend - we got a nasty fine from the condo which we are disputing and I have a new sitter for Alan in the AM before he goes to speech. The mom/dad of his classmates can't do it anymore, but she found me someone else also in Alan's class in the nursery school. This mom will drop Alan on the way at the public school - she's on disability now (probably through June) so I'm sure the $ will help. But it isn't as convient to drop him off there, I'm not sure I can walk to the bus without moving the car again, and I'd like not to do that as I've been running late lately. I just wish they'd had a way to leave him at the public school by 8. I'm not sure if next year the PM class will be easier. It will be good to always go the same place in the AM. But I probably need someone to walk (or drive in bad weather) between school and daycare in the afternoons. It's an awfully easy gig, just drive a preschooler 1 block!
And tommorrow, I'm following up on a job lead and have to call Alan's dentist, return some clothes, and call memorex to return the broken DVD burner. (and working too and I have to do my review in the next few days...)
Better get some zzz's tonight :)
