Woke up with a scratchy throat and Alan was coughing. I gave him some medicine, hopefully he’ll be ok at school. He’s probably tired, he’s been up too late all week with stress and last night because we went to Wendy’s to celebrate (Frosties for Alan and I, Mark had some dinner, then Alan and I had some French fries.) On the way home we got gas as it looks like it will go over 3.00 today. While filling up, Alan and I saw 1 stray firework go off, which was weird.
Anyway, for those who asked – we had a hearing with 3 condo residents (recognized them from the pool, they were neither friend nor foe), the condo’s lawyer (low key guy), the neighbor (a grump, but not nasty), Mark and our friend Ray came also. We each said our side, but it helped we’d documented stuff (a friend of ours who was a condo president elsewhere did help us with this). So basically the committee voted to recommend that the board drop the fine – and the board has never not agreed with these recommendations (and our 50.00 dispute wouldn’t be one to start with!) So all seems to be well. On the way back we ended up having a nice chat with the tenants above us (that unit is rented).
Anyway, I started this a while ago and had to go to a meeting and do some testing. At least today is payday and I got my raise. And I don’t have to be in the office till next Thursday (working from home Wednesday).
