Haven’t slept well lately. Don’t know if it is due to medicine changes (add antibiotic, subtract Xanax XR). Makes me very foggy brained – forgot Alan’s towel for sprinkler day and can’t find one of my library books – a good parenting book – How to Talk So Your Kids Will Listen. I’ve never lost a library book – I’ll look tonight.

On the other hand I’ve actually gotten in on time lately – at or before 9. So I’ve been going out at lunch. Yesterday I took the subway down to where I used to work and got bargains at Children’s Place and Old Navy. Today, if the weather holds, I’ll go to the Goodwill near the old office. No other work news these days, but we are getting a new manager August 1st. No more temporary management. Hope he is nice.

Yesterday, sadly, Alan’s other top tooth came out as the dentist predicted. He is missing 6 baby teeth now (4 on the bottom, 2 on top). It’s been almost 3 years since the accident where he lost the bottom ones. I think it bothers me more than him though.

An older man sat next to me on the bus today. His cell phone rang and he had a nice voice (not a local accent). I couldn’t help but listen – he apparently does something medical – some sort of therapy related to patients in a coma or near coma. Must be challenging.

Oh

When I was at my company picnic last month, my new nifty cell phone fell out of my purse and landed in a puddle, getting wet.

I sent it back to Nokia as it was under warantee. Got a letter back yesterday that it was water damaged and would cost 114 to repair. I still have a cell phone, my old Nokia which doesn't hold a charge well. I have a new battery for it, but I need to get the (@!#(!# phone open to put it in.

I guess I'll look for a replacement model on eBay? I am under contact for 2 years to cover the cost of this phone - I'm happy with t-mobile and don't want to switch.

Sigh.

What books are you reading these days? (Both for you and your child - if you have a child) I just
read The Memory Keeper's Daughter (kind of too fancy in style for me) and I read to Alan The Snail and The Whale (cute!).

Alan still prefers ANY Thomas book or anything with a train - he sees pictures of roller coasters and
thinks they are trains!
