Woke up to go to the bathroom and went to check the election results. I guess I helped - looks like all the Democrats won (senate, house, county, and the unopposed town council!) as well as all 3 resolutions passed. So my husband fortunately didn't miss much.

Hope everyone else who voted got the results they wanted too!

Some stuff from yesterday:

In the morning, I saw a plastic bag in our bed. I went to toss it, only to discover it was the bag to a special pacifier I'd gotten for Alan when he was a baby (he didn't like any). I wonder where that had been the last 3 1/2 years - my husband was cleaning the bedroom the night before though.

I also got a really annoying spam. It was from someone spreading the falsehood that the Holocaust didn't happen. I reported it where I could - this kind of p*ssed me off as the mother of a friend of ours is a Holocaust survivor. I've had some pretty nasty porno and beastiality spam in the past, but this was a new one.

Today it is pouring out. I'm working from home because I had a teacher conference and Alan has a dentist appointment to fill a cavity. I feel like this is be mean to Alan month. He already had a blood test, he has 2 cavities to be filled and one flu shot! Sigh. His dental appointment was moved to 5PM, hopefully we can get there with the weather.

His conference went well. Discussed a few things (like toliet training). We need to get the daycare to deal with underware and not be lazy. So do we - good thing I have lots of underware for him. They also decided to put him into the morning class 8:35 to 11 something. Now instead of his "escort", I'll need someone to watch and bring him at 8:35 (can't go in that late alas.) Hopefully someone from last year can do it. (Daycare will pickup after class). But the meeting itself went well, everyone agreed progress was made and we will meet at the end of the year to see if he stays in this class or goes to the inclusive one next year. (He has 1 more year of preschool due to the cutoff in our town). I am now waiting on an occupational therapy evaluation, he's 6th on the list and the OT's are swamped (they come from an adjacent district as my district is too small have one of their own.)

I'm cooking some lunch, tossing in some laundry and back to work.

I was first being asked to come in at 5 for Alan's dental appointment not 5:45 due to the doctors schedule.
Then I heard our system was going down at 6 PM till maybe 9 or later?
Then I kept getting weather alerts with flood warnings.
So I rescheduled Alan's appointment till the Wednesday before Thanksgiving when I get out early anyway.

I think I can get to the library and daycare safely. But it wasn't worth the flooding to fill a cavity - it's been there not sure how long, 2 more weeks won't matter much.
