Jan. 26th, 2007 11:19 amWoke up in the middle the night with a dull headache. had trouble getting back to sleep. Wonder if insomnia is contageous on LJ or if I'm just work stressed (post on that another time).
It was very cold this AM. Bundled Alan and myself in multiple layers. It helped when the (@*!@*# bus was 45 minutes late for no good reason. The one that finally came said it was on time and there was one behind him. Well it least it had seats and made good time going in. And the line for a taxi was short. (I wasn't walking 10 minutes in the cold today, sorry).
Alan had to bring a bear (or stuffed animal) to school today as they did a unit with winter/bears and are doing something in a cave today. Last year for the same program, I just stuck it in his bag, this year I gave him a choice of bears (he picked the biggest one, which we'd gotten at a festival - not huge big, just average size). I also had to give him a big carton of juice, we were out of juice boxes. Hopefully he can share it with his class - it has 4 servings in it. (Knowing Alan, he'd drink it all, he's a juice addict).
I was reading someone's LJ entry this AM, and in the middle of it, they chose to change the security on it. (I clicked on a link in it, when I got back it was gone). Understandable that someone would do that, but I had wanted to finish it, it was interesting.
Went last night to Corrados. It's an Italian grocery store/fruit market. Sometimes they get interesting things on closeouts, especially during the week in slow times of the year. They had Dora cereal good till February 2 for 1.00 and Bisquick pancake mix good till June also 2 for 1.00. We had made pancakes earlier on my George Foreman grill with the removable plates that went over well, so now I can make more. Even my husband can make them, he'll just have to add water to the container. (I know making pancakes from scratch might be cheaper, but not at 2 for 1.00)
Big book sale @ the local library tommorrow. Looking forward to that. May also take Alan to the local education supply store (Lakeshore Learning) for a craft session. He's very pleased with his arts and crafts he does now, he likes to show them to us.
