Random stuff
Feb. 26th, 2007 12:34 pmHaven't blogged much lately. Just been busy/distracted I guess. (Been reading).
Today's snow was a bust. Just a delayed opening for Alan's public program and daycare. But his AM babysitter watched him till the public program started.
In advance of the busted snow, all of us went for a ride yesterday AM to where DH works to retrieve a paper file and e-mail some documents, only to find out his ID doesn't allow weekend access. But I was able to set him up for remote access via their IT guy's instructions, so I guess it was worth it.
I also found an amusing light on my car. I was very low on gas and needed to fill up soon. All of a sudden I noticed a light on the dashboard. At first I thought it said "Check Brakes", but it really said "Check Gauges". So I did, but it seemed silly not to have a low on gas warning instead of the generic warning.
Saturday AM Alan and I had a play date from someone in local mom's group. She turned out to live within walking distance which was nice. That group had something happen drama wise behind the scenes - don't know entirely what happened, but it did leave some of us confused and new group spun off. I hate mamma drama!
Last Wednesday was a checkup day. Saw the dermatologist. No skin cancers - oddly enough she said she had 1 day in 10 years where she hadn't seen one. She also turned out to have had her thyroid removed like me. Then later on I went to my psy doc for a medicine check - they stopped me on the way out. I wasn't sure why, but it turned out I had a 57 dollar credit on my account which will get refunded to me :)
I also got a settlement check over the weekend for a class action suit where Verizon was blocking overseas e-mails (it had happened to me with old Oct02 baby list when it was hosted in Australia.) So I got a surprise 28.00 check!
Back to the old grind alas :(
