What to Wear

We have been invited to my cousins's second son's bar mitzvah and reception next month on a Saturday at 5 PM. It is in his backyard for the ceremony and the reception - he lives in an upscale area. Alan will probably be youngest one there. I asked my cousin what should Alan wear and was told he didn't need a suit. So I'm trying to decide

Alan has the following in his closet:

Dress Navy Chinos
A French Blue Dress Shirt from Gap
A Blue/White/Peachy pink striped dress shirt from Target
A solid light blue polo
Dark Blue Dress Socks

I was in Gap today and heard my 2 new favorite songs back to back - "No Cars Go" by Arcade Fire and "Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani. It did work as I did buy myself a t-shirt! (Buy why do they make the t-shirts now so long and fitted - doesn't help those who are short and round).

The other night I was driving back from Target in Hackensack, NJ. What song should come on the radio - "Movin' Out" by Billy Joel. Why is this notable - there's a line in the song "Who needs a house in Hackensack". So it's funny to hear it in Hackensack. This happened once before when I was in Shoprite which is also in Hackensack.
