Accomplishments again

Made corn muffins this AM. Not sure what happened but they came out eggy (old eggs, bad mix?) so I tossed them. (Alan had been wanting corn muffins, so I tried a mix). But I find I have enough muffin/cupcake pans to do a dozen cupcakes and I found I had liners for the cupcakes muffins from who knows when or what...)

Yesterday, the CD drive in my PC died. Not sure why, but since we had a spare DVD drive lying around from some free after rebate offer - I put it in. As is usual for me, the mechanicals tripped me up (I had a hard time plugging the cables back in, but otherwise it went fine). Still can't figure out how to replace the fan on my PC. (It's a Dell Dimension 8250, the fan died years ago - it gives a fan failure message on bootup but still works fine). I can't see how to remove the old one from the mother board and the case to get the new one I have in. (Again, it's the mechanicals).

Now off to do some rebates and other stuff like laundry, it's that kind of day to stay home. Maybe later I'll make my favorite leftover turkey dish which no one else will eat alas - turkey mixed with cream of chicken soup and frozen peas over rice (I'm using Success brown rice instead of the minute rice I grew up with) with a dash of soy sauce on top. (It's really annoying to have a son and husband who do not share your taste in food!)

Off topic - but when I was looking at Hannah Montana dolls for the child I am buying gifts for - I was surprised to find they only sell dolls and playsets, no extra outfits - I'm guessing Barbie's clothes fit Hannah Montana (and Camp Rock) dolls, but I would figure Disney could make a few extra bucks this way (outfit as seen in Episode #1123 etc).
