Mail Crash - argh
Jan. 14th, 2009 04:44 pmWhy is it on my days off at home, I try to clean up my e-mail.
I was compacting my bloated thunderbird e-mail folder. I don't know what happened, but the inbox file suddenly became empty - all the e-mail in this text file is gone - so deleting the .msf (index) file was no help as it had been once before when I had a crash.
I DO NOT HAVE A BACKUP - I probably have the mail I brought in in August and updated addresses in the address book.
I wonder if should switch back to outlook again. I'd have to import all the e-mail back to outlook that I'd saved and then copy the address book (the accounts are in there). And I need to reinstate an automatic backup - Norton 360 didn't back up the thunderbird info and now I switched to Norton Internet Security.
Any and all advice welcomed, please!
