I so associate that Alice Cooper song with the end of the year. I remember hearing it on the P/A in jr high on the last day of the year! Actually for Alan, the song "What Time Is It?" from High School Musical 2 might be his last day of school song. It was on Disney Channel (in HD) Saturday night - so we saw part of it again. (HSM would be the only thing Alan would watch there, actually - no Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, etc)

It was a blah weekend - the highlight was making spinach lasagna at DH's request. It happened to help that a friendly neighbor had a weekend guest with a 6 year old, so Alan made a friend. Sadly, even though this boy rode a 2 wheeler and swam neither rubbed off on Alan. I have to get the training wheels on his bike one of these days so he'll ride it.

We also stopped at the local Meadowlands flea market Saturday. Driving into the complex, we saw the harness racing horses doing morning workouts - we were on a high road overlooking the track. So we pulled over (no traffic) and all watched a bit. Someday I hope to take Alan to a horse race. (If he were older, I do what my parents did, bet for him - maybe let him have 10-20 to play with-don't think it's harmful to teach him how things work - I'm certainly not a big gambler, if I spend 20 myself, it's alot).

Since I'm working from home today I am stopping by the school @ lunchtime to snap some photos (forgot the camera in the AM). I did bring the teacher's gifts at least (gift cards + keyfobs I got on etsy.com). Sadly I have conference call from 1-3 (unexpected, nice of boss to tell me this morning)

This week brings Alan's first trip with out me (with daycare to a local movie on Wednesday) and his first sleepover thursday night. I think I can handle these, he'll do fine :)

Back to work........

Hopefully we will get one that reports back to the users (I'd say 2-3 of the 5 candidates look promising)
