lesliepearI found out yesterday that my days of working 2-3 days a week at home are numbered.
It started because the office was being reconstructed. They split it into 2 halves and moved everyone to the back, where we don't fit. So I share a desk with another mom and its worked well. When the first half is done, they can't move everyone there because there is a lot of office/conference space there. So, Q/A and another group are apparently being moved to other space 2 blocks away (closer to the subway) for 2 months. The company president DOES NOT like work from home, so I guess that option of doing that for 2 months was ruled out as had been talked about earlier.
Oh, well it was fun while it lasted. Hopefully I can find a job closer to home in the fall with the economy picking up.
I'm glad I found out now. I wanted to get a pass for our condo pool, maybe I would have actually used it being "home" at 5 this summer and I think Alan will like to swim.
