Last night we had a giggle fest at dinner. I don't know who started laughing me, Alan, or DH but we ended up all laughing for some reason!

Also last night I had my top/bra off because I thought about giving Alan a bath. I decided not to, so I was undressing him sitting up at the dressing table. Well, he decided to give himself some self-serve! It was cute...it seems not so long ago that I complained that I couldn't nurse him with 1 handfree and here he is helping himself!

I think NJ/NYC is just going to get rain/wind out of the storm. I just hope I don't have to commute to NYC tommorrow. I can get Alan to the sitter (5 minutes, main streets - and sitter lives across from the department of public works) and I don't mind WORKING at home, but I do not trust NJ transit buses in bad weather. Our tiny Williamsburg, VA branch is closed and the network shutdown as a precaution.

And I got a parking ticket yesterday. There were signs where I park sometimes to get the bus as opposed to driving back home. They had been up for months - unenforced - no parking between 9AM - 10Am without permit. I called 2 weeks ago and they hadn't figured out the permit process and a letter would go out (I'm a town resident). So I got a ticket yesterday. I'd like to fight it on principal but of course court is at 3 PM during the week. Sigh.

I loved nursing my kids. But I introduced both of them to the bottle early because I knew I had to go back to work. Aaron weaned himself at 6 months and once Hannah found out that the bottle was easier she wouldn't have anything to do with nursing (around 2 months). I wish I could have nursed them longer - I found it to be one of the most peaceful, satisfying activities of my entire life.
