Busy as usual.
When I got home Friday, Alan was zonked out in his exersaucer. It was funny, but he woke up before I could take a picture. Went to Boston Market for dinner. Alan ate turkey, spinach, mashed potatoes and loved eating the green beans. There was a family with a large # of children nearby - the 2 oldest didn't seem to match, but the rest did. They had a 2 year old, but had put soda in her sippy cup. Sorry, I don't think 2 year olds should have soda.
Saturday we drove around Parmus with my MIL to hit the townwide garage sale. We stopped for a burger at the Fireplace (DH's favorite place) first. I had an omlette as they were still doing breakfast. Alan liked his burger bits (and the egg bits, potato bits, toast bits...even pickle bits!). He was not wearing socks and managed to get one toe in his mouth while in the car seat. DH and Alan fell asleep while we drove around. No big finds, but a few books. And as usual, only girls clothes. the last house had some boys jackets - but too big for Alan for a few years and she hadn't put out any of the other boys clothes - she decided yesterday to do the sale. Then we stopped by the River Edge library for their 50th birthday party (DH grew up there in the house where my MIL still lives). Nothing really for Alan. He was interested in meeting the 2.5 year old girl in the stroller next to him. We did find out the clothing swap we went to last year is ON, so hopefully I'll find some stuff that day.
Later we met a long an old friend of DH's at an ice cream place nearby. Alan was good as usually despite being tired although he did manage to spill a cup of water. Oddly enough DH's friend ran into someone he hadn't seen for 10+ years there. The people he ran into (married couple) had met on of all things, jury duty.
Sunday we went to the Hoboken fall festival. It was much easier for all of us than it was 6 months ago in the spring one. We didn't really listen to any bands, just walked around. Got Alan one of those balloons that was bent like an animal (but the person doing it charged for it which was weird). He held his own bottle during lunch which he's just learned to do! We also saw someone dressed like a tiger in a karate uniform (the tiger schulman karate school mascot). Alan took a liking to him (got photos) and was turning around in the stroller to look for him when we left. We took the path train (subway like train) to get there as parking in Hoboken is...limited at best (we drive to Jersey city, near where my SIL lives and get the train there). He fell asleep on the train there and took a LONG nap, but not on the way back. We now know where the elevators are in the 2 stations. With a stroller, you learn where the elevators are EVERYWHERE.
No news on Inky. I think I've caused some friction between different people in one of the rescue groups I'm working with...I'm not jumping in ... I just want Inky somewhere out of the bathroom.
We may have found someone to help with work we need done in the condo. Hopefully we can get a fan working in the master bathroom and the tub/shower regrouted to get rid of the mold. (Note to self, never get a place without a window in the bathroom for ventilation)

Date: 2003-10-15 10:22 am (UTC)The smaller one doesn't seem to have a problem, we don't use it that much and the door is open all the time anyway due to Moxie's litter box being there.
We do have a new fan in the bigger one but its still musty. I think that will be fixed once the shower is retiled (I suspect there's dampness behind the tiles.)
