Alan's 1 year checkup
Nov. 1st, 2003 02:55 pmAlan got his 1 year checkup today.
He's 25 lbs 2 oz and 31 inches? 2 weeks ago he was 30 1/4 inches and 25 lbs 5 oz. And 12-18 month clothes (which is about 80%) of his winter stuff go to 31" - yikes. I may have to do some eBaying or returning :(
His head is in the 90% percentile (I think 48.5 centimeters). The height and weight were both in the 80th percentile.
I need to switch him to whole milk (when this one last can of formula is gone) and get him on a sippy cup by 15 months. I want him off the bottle also, so I'll tell this to my sitter.
He wanted him on fluoride vitamins, was suprised he was already - but that was due to his nursing they'd prescribed it earlier. So I have a refill to give to the pharmacy to hold (so I won't lose it).
He had 3 shots. The 1 year ones and the first flu.
The second flu shot will be in December - but during the week NOT on a Saturday. Argh. Hopefully DH can take him.
He also had blood work for CBC and lead taken. The insurance company doesn't pay for lead testing done in the office. I'll pay - I'm NOT making him get 2 tests.
He was a bit fussy when the shots were being done. She had a hard time doing the last one - she said he was very strong. I also couldn't look during the blood draw (held him with my eyes closed).
He's napping now. He was up early this am around 5, but I did get him back to sleep and we slept till 9.
Hopefully he'll wakeup soon and i can go to the picture people and get his portraits :)
