Yesterday I left my cell phone home. Of course DH needed *ME* to get Alan and I had stuff I was doing after work. But I got Alan when I got home. He had slept all of 5 minutes at Nadia's. He crashed in the car going home. Actually got him and into the crib asleep. He probably would have slept quite a while, but DH open the bedroom door when SIL called on the phone - so the rings woke him up after about 45 minutes? Then of course he had trouble falling asleep at bedtime because he was way overtired. He toss and turns restlessly while lying next to me. Finally he practially passed out with DH lying there.

I finshed my Oct2002 baby list yearbook pages. When I figure out FTP to my verizon webspace, I'll post them. They came out cool - I used a program called PhotoMix (very quirky collage program) and Paint Shop Pro 8 (way complex...sigh).

I need to do work. Both DH and I are demotivated at work. His big consulting client was taken over by a nut - manages by intimiation. We both think DH will be gone by the end of the year. We have savings and he has other clients - we'll be ok. Now if I could find something ELSE. I'm so bored with QA (software testing).

My heart goes out to your husband. I work one level removed for a nut. He and I don't get along, and I found out last week that he has put my position on the table for upcoming budget cuts. sigh. Fortunately should worst come to worst we also have savings, enough to get by for about a year should I become, well, job-free - in the worst case scenario.

*hugs*

But he owns the company. His boss and one level up deal with the nut who calls on these people's cell phones at all hours. Hopefully when this ends, DH can find something that will keep him happy again - he's a marketing PR person - but he has learned a lot on this assignment which was originally a 6-9 temp position (he replaced someone on sick leave who passed away) and has lasted almost 2.5 years working with very nice people (except the new owner).

My sympathies -- I've accumulated a few "boss horror stories" myself over the years.

I don't want to say too much in LJ, but I'm getting kind of tired of my daily grind at this current job. I suppose that if I can hang in there till next June, I'll be vested in the pension program on top of my 401(k) contributions. I do keep my eye out, though....

Vesting

I was at my last job for 4 years. Made it to 80% vested. The effects of 9/11, combined with a company not doing to well before hand led to my layoff :(
