Illness

I picked up Alan at daycare last night. He'd p**ped 7 times so far and wasn't hungry but otherwise ok. All I could get him to eat/drink last night was cheerios (no pedialyte, no gingerale) and 4 oz of formula (I know it might be bad for him, but he's used to it at bedtime and I wanted him to have SOMETHING.) I crashed with him at 9:30 last night. DH got sick around 11 or so (barfing :( ). Alan nursed a little during the night. He had a wet diaper, but no p**p in the morning, so I guess the formula was ok?

I offered Alan pedialyte this AM again. No go. So I gave him diluted grape (white grape) juice and an anmial cracker or two - he drank and ate that. He seemed ok when I left for work. DH didn't feel too good this AM, and although I have more engery than usual - I'm still a little nervous about my stomach and don't have much appetite.

Hopefully we'll all get over this bug soon.

Try buying some gatorade instead of pedialyte. Pedialyte's taste is.. well, it leaves a lot to be desired. Or try the pedialyte pops.

I had tried fruit punch Poweraid previously. That didn't work. (I had tried both apple and cherry pedialyte)

i was just going to recommend some gatorade or powerade. when ben was allen's age, he would not touch pedialyte. i think it's too salty tasty or something. it's ick.

hope you all feel better soon. it sucks when the whole family is sick!

formula's fine - the important thing is getting the liquid into him.
