Eggnog Latte
Nov. 17th, 2003 10:40 amIs in season at Starbucks. It's pretty good :)
It was a social weekend. Saturday we went to get a baby gift at a local discount place (Clifton Baby/Children's wear in Clifton NJ). I got to get a baby girl outfit (PINK!) That was fun :). We cleaned up a bit at home and got together with friends to go to dinner. 4 couples, 2 babies. Went to a diner as that was easiest. The other baby is our friend's son Jeff. He's much shyer than Alan. He was cranky because he'd not napped that day. Alan kept swiping food from him - despite the remains of his stomach virus he was hungry. We did leave a big tip as there was a bit of a mess under the table.
Sunday we went to visit a friend of MIL's son and daughter in law. They'd adopted a baby girl from Korea. Hannah is cute - she looks like she has a mohawk. It was near a nice flea market (Columbia NJ farmers market - we browsed a bit - I found a neat vintage gymboree jacket for Alan for next year). We didn't know many people there - just my MILs friend her 2 sons/DILs and their kids (well DH knew the son's, I met one once). They had a very new house and had a lot of people and kids over. Alan didn't care for being held and didnt' eat a lot (he'd rather feed himself in a high chair), but was content to play in the playroom and try to pull UP on things (Little Tykes workbenches are good for that). I told DH we could probably leave him there and he wouldn't notice (we didn't leave him though). He wasn't as social as he is with our friends - we wonder if he picked up on our strangeness (people weren't that social to us, and it was hard for us to be social with Alan :( ).
We are all pretty much over the stomach bug. Alan wasn't p**ping right on Saturday so we called our pediatrician who said it could take up to a week to reset and not to change his diet unless he has more than 6 bad ones in a day (Alan only had 3 on Saturday.) I still wonder what the h*ck it was - DH and I usually don't get these sorts of things.
