I think I've actually found a pair of non-Robeez shoes that I can get on Alan - with firm soles!

Kids R Us (KRU) has these corderoy sneakers with white toe capes and velcro straps in various colors - I think they are mostly pastels, but there is a navy one.

I got him a pair of size 4 which seem to fit and stay on. They were only 6.29, marked down from 8.99 because KRU's closing.

I'm going to another KRU tonight to use up some 20% off coupons I had, this KRU was shipped all of the clearance merchandise from the area stores apparently.

(For anyone in New Jersey, this is the KRU on Rt. 4 in Paramus, next to Kohls).

This is the last week to use up any coupons you may have at KRU - they'll stop taking them as of Saturday.

All of KRU's are closing, or just that one?

Isn't it great when you find inexpensive clothes, and they actually fit. My son has been over 3 and 1/2 feet tall for about a year now (he was 3 feet at age 2, he is now at age 3 and 1/2 and he is hitting 4 feet (almost)). He is also very thin, like his daddy, so his clothes are either too big (around the waist) or too short (for his long legs). We had to stop buying jeans for him a while ago because none of them fit. Also, I have yet to find any toddler belts, I mean I know I'm not the ONLY mom with a tall, thin toddler. He has JUST started filling out Size 3T jeans to where they fit properly. He was in Size 2T shorts from about 30 months of age to about 2 weeks ago.

I think all KRU's are closing

Apparently someone thought that one was closing first - because the NJ stores sent their clearance stuff there. But they all are. I think if you go back in my entries, you'll find the list of the closing ones.

I saw a toddler belt in gap the other day

and I've seen belts in Children's Place

and on-line in gymboree

Thanks for the links :) I guess I was looking in the wrong places - Target, Walmart, Kids R Us - I don't shop at the Gap, but I do like The Children's Place; Gymboree is usually pricey.

Actually at Gap and Gymboree I shop the clearance rack. Surprisingly a lot of boys gets marked down @ Gymboree - it doesn't sell as well as the girls. For example, they have long sleeved polo onesies on sale now in basic colors (red, black, yellow, white) for 5.59.

And how can I forget Sears!!! About 80 percent of his clothes come from Sears. I usually shop for the twins at Target.
