Good Deal and Alan's got a cold
Nov. 25th, 2003 11:29 amI went a KRU to use up 2 20% coupons before they stop taking them after Saturday.
This particular KRU (Route 4, Paramus, NJ) was apparently going to close BEFORE the decision was made to close them all - the lease was running out, so it is 70-80% summer clearance from other stores. You can buy ahead for next summer, or get
clothes for a winter vacation to some place warm. The other KRU in our area (Rt 17 Paramus) is just 10% off the regular fall/winter stuff.
There is still a pretty good selection since they are only taking 10% off
so far. I got Alan 3 matching pieces of Oshgosh (shirt, shorts, socks), a
pair of summer short sleeve short leg pjs, and 2 printed tank top
onesies for next summer all in 18-24 months. I also got him a pair of snow boots (size 5/6).
The boots were clearanced at 4.00 before the 10% off (bob the builder or spiderman). I figured at that price, I'd take the chance that he'd grow in to them this winter (he's a non-walking size 4 now). Everything totaled 22.35 including my 2 coupons, not a bad deal. I may go back later to get some more pj's or some 2t for the future.
Alan slept while I shopped for the most part. The store was quiet and I had him in a sleeper, jacket and blanket in his stroller. I did have him out late though. During the night he seemed stuffed up, but I didn't want to wake him for medicine. I tried to put him in the crib (he was in bed with me) around 6 AM. Then (of course) he woke up. So I gave him decongestant and tylenol (he felt a little warm). He went to daycare today since I think it is just a cold.
Last winter he didn't get sick. This would be his 3rd sickness since October (one feverish virus, one diahreah virus and now a cold). Maybe bfing did keep him well.
