I'll start with Thanksgiving dinner, since that's where I left off.

Went to my cousins. Alan hadn't taken an afternoon nap. He ended up freaking out just at dinner time, so I had to go out and walk him around in the dark quiet street. I just wrapped him in a blanket instead of forcing his coat on. After he fell asleep we came in. When he woke up he was very cranky. He wouldn't eat. DH gave him something he would eat, chocolate cake! He stopped crying and ate the whole thing. I also gave him some of the berry betty my cousin made (rasberries and blueberries) from a recipie from the canyon ranch and he ate a little of that. He did like the toys my cousin dug up (I forgot ours) one of which had been the 12 year olds. So my cousin gave them to us with a nice doggy bag (all but the turkey and dessert were from whole foods). As far as having my cousin's ex and her boyfriend over, it went fine. Her boyfriend (Jim) was a chief (trained at the culinary institute and worked in the Oceania restaurant in NYC) turned furniture maker. He and DH discussed the woodworking business (DH markets to that industry, although he can't make a thing.) Jim gave my grandmother tips on how to make turkey soup.

Friday we got up early. Off to Office Max for the black friday sales (with Alan). Got just about everything we wanted. We got their at 6:30, store opened at 7, didn't check out till after 8 (registers crashed several times, I guess they need Q/A). We then stopped briefly at Toys R US, but the toy I wanted for Alan (busy bee mailbox) was sold out. Off to Staples, got a memory card, markers, free after rebate calculator (DH and Alan were in the car during both stops). Stopped at walmart on the way back - they were sold out of 5.00 and 10.00 crock pots - got some baby care stuff, food, socks and a pair of track pants on sale (they had petite, very nice for short me). Again DH and Alan snoozed in the car.

Went home and I was off again with Alan. Stopped at Gymboree to make the extra % of sale items. I was in-line by 12, so I got it even though it was after 12:00 when I was rung. 8 items for 52.38 + 1 gymbuck. (Boys clothes don't sell as well). Alan had knocked some tights off the rack while I was on-line. When I got to the car, I saw one pair had fallen in the stroller basket. So I went back to return it - Alan can't use red tights :(

Then to my MIL and off with my SIL to take her shopping for her holiday party. She's fussy about colors and has long arms. She won't wear the traditional holiday colors - red/black - perfers autumn tones. At Sears I got shoes and some socks (some were gifts). At Macy's we got sweaters. One of her's might be for the holiday party (but it was expensive). Then to another mall to try one particular store (Coldwater Creek). Nice stuff, but her arms were too long for their clothes. We had chinese for dinner (Alan ate sezchuana beef and the tofu from hot and sour soup - but I think the beef gave him a little run). I did notice he had a rash, so I called my pediatrician thinking chicken pox. The senior doctor called back quickly (I seem to always get him on call). Suggested benadril and check in AM. So that's what we did when we got home.
