"I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal, if you feel like it."

I am a native of Phoenix, Arizona, which means I avoid the sun and have pale, pale skin. :)

I was born in Palo Alto, California, and have lived in California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Montana, Alaska and Seattle. When I lived in Alaska (only for 3 months, but it still counts), I was in Nome and serving as a Missionary for my church at our denomination's radio station.

When I was little I told my mom that I wanted to be a ladybug when I grew up.

Unique

That's certainly unique :)

I snore. A lot. And loudly, too.

I am left-handed, but I play guitar right-handed, and my right leg is my dominant kicking leg.

I do not have a particular way that I usually take my coffee. Sometimes black, sometimes just sugar, sometimes sugar and milk/cream. But never with just milk or cream.

Lefty Also

I'm a lefty also. But I use knives and scissors with my left hand. I own a (too small) lefty softball glove as when people play, no one ever has an extra one of those!

In spite of what I might put forth in my journal, I'm pretty reclusive, and lack the self-confidence I once had in abundance. I just talk a lot now.

I'm actually shy and quiet, especially around people I don't know very well.

I live in a male-dominate family and love every minute of it. When it comes to little girls, I'm at a loss. I love playing with hot wheels and G.I. Joe figurines.

I LOVE vanilla. Anything vanilla. I hate spaghetti with a passion, trust me, I've tried eating it many times and gag every single time. I could eat tacos every night and be happy. I'm addicted to eggnog.

I hate city living and city driving, and would much rather hang out at a country bar than a club. I think overalls and plaid shirts are sexy. ;)

Similar eating habits

I love vanilla also. Diet vanilla pepsi is great, the diet coke not so. Also Breyer's vanilla ice cream is very good.

I love eggnog, but drink the Silk soy eggnog because it has the lowest calories - I put nutmeg on it though.

Is it just spaghetti you don't like or all pasta?

I couldn't live in the city either. I'd rather live in suburbia.

Oooh, soy eggnog taste pretty good?

And it's something about pasta and tomato sauce mix. We've tried different noodles with the sauce, different sauce, etc. Nuttin. I seriously gag. I DO love ravioli and lasagna, but only my own lasagna.

I think it's ok. But I like nutmeg on it. I'll let Alan try it this year. There is a big warning on it NOT to use it as infant formula!

I dislike fruit.

Total Opposite

You are the total opposite of my husband. He knows every place to buy fruit within 5 miles our house. And his speciality for parties is fruit salad. Alan shares his love of fruit fortunately.

I'm only 4'11 but when I stetch I can get to 5'. haha! I have two step-sisters that my dad adopted from his wife that I consider my sisters even though I never see them now since the divorce. The older one is going to be a pilot and the other is a complete screw off. I'm not really close with my moms side of the family at all, haven't seen them in 10 + years and I really don't care.

After years of believing that I would have a difficult time getting pregnant (due to girly issues), I accidentally got pregnant at 32.

I was sure surprised!

I didn't think I'd get pregnant at 39 without medical help. Surprise, I did but needed medical help at the other end (a c-section scheduled the day before).

I did not become a mom until I was 42. Then I did it again at age 44. And I had no trouble getting pregnant - just stopped using birth control and it happened. I didn't think that would be the case in my forties.

But then my mom always says about the women in my family that all a man has to do is put his shoes under the bed and we're in the family way.

Hm, this is a toughie because we have been friends IRL too. I see that in our LJ interests lists, the only thing we seem to have in common is "cats." But there must be other things too! For the record, my cats' names are Kiki and Boy-Boy, and I'm really lousy about writing about them in my LJ.

Oh, and I still remember how much you liked "The Simpsons" when that show first started! :-)

I still have my Mass cats

I still have my cat Moxie I adopted in Mass (R & C baby sat him once, and Rissa licked him on the nose). The other cat, Inky, I had to rehome this fall because she wasn't happy when Alan started to crawl - she needed to be the baby here. Ironically she went to a home with many cats and is happy and fat from what I hear (maybe she just wanted company human or feline would do).
