Alan and The Allergist

lesliepearAlan saw my allergist tonight.
He doesn't think given my description of Alan's reaction - hives the next day, that Alan has a food allergy. He thinks Alan reacted to the "lectin" in ripe strawberries and raspberries. He said even non allergic people can get hives from that. He felt it was ok for Alan to have them. I'm relieved.
I think they did enjoy Alan's visit as he was in a good playful mood despite the 7:00 PM appointment. I told them I hope he just comes along with me or my husband the next time and isn't a patient :)
