Become a working mom, returning to work with Alan in daycare.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
A bigger house.
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day Alan fell and lost 4 teeth, our biggest parental scare so far.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surving Alan's first year.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not finding a new job despite several interviews. And having to rehome Inky after 13 years because she couldn't deal with Alan.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing serious: colds, mastitis - except for Alan's fall.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Probably the exersaucer for 15.00 at a yard sale for Alan.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Alan (good day)
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Alan (bad day), Inky (who had to be rehomed).
14. Where did most of your money go?
Alan (not that that's a bad thing)
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Alan's development
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:?
i. happier or sadder? Happier, but tireder.
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter, stress eating
iii. richer or poorer? Richer. Our savings keep growing.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Spend more time with Alan and Mark. And been able to attend some of our summer festivals - weather messed things up a lot.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Work.
20. How will you be spending Christmas? Probably quietly, maybe with friends and chinese food.
21. Did you fall in love in 2003?
Yes, with Alan.

Don't have one.

Don't remember.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Some of the music my husband found on WFUV - the thorns, the jayhawks, and also the australian band fruit we saw at musikfest.
27. What did you want and get? Renovations around the house and the shower regrouted and with new doors.
28. What was your favorite film of this year? My big fat greek wedding.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 41. I don't think we did much. we did go to Verona park on or about that day with Alan (we met there for the first time 5 years before).

A new house.
