Alan is 4 weeks old today. Somehow we've managed to get this far :)
My mood is a little better these days. We went to a friends on Saturday as well as walked around a nearby fleamarket. Of course I got all (@!#(!@# with breastfeeding and ended up doing more formula than I'd like but it was good to get out. Sunday we stayed home except for a run to the store for triple coupons. Yesterday night I finally got up to Babies R Us to get most (not all) the things I still needed . I got my diaper pail, extra size 0 advent nipples, and the Fisher Price Aquarium (I like the new age music on it - sounds like Enya). I was going to get a rocker/glider there, but the one we wanted was out - so we'd have to another store which would hold it. But I decided to stop at Toys R Us (Paramus, NJ near us has at least one of every known chain - including Kids R Us, Toys R Us and Babies R Us). Well TRU had the glider I wanted in beige (not blue) and it was 10.00 less! We managed to get it in my hatchback car - but it is still there, hopefully we can bring it in tonight.
I will follow up with the social worker next week at mom's group. She called today and had someone I could talk with, but between phone and Alan in my arms I couldn't take the #, so she said she'd give it to me Thursday.
Now if I could only get help from DH. He keeps trying to put Alan in bed with us. I don't like it because he's small and also I don't fit in the comfortable spot in the bed - I wind up closer to one side :( (Alan's crib is next to my side of the bed). I sleep in the bedroom with Alan, sometimes DH is there, other nights he's on the sofa bed in bedroom #2 as DH sleeps very lightly and doesn't do well with middle of the night wakeups.
I also want to get Alan on a better schedule. Right now we try to go bed between 11-12 with Alan getting up once and then us getting up for the day around 6:30. I try to go back to sleep after I feed Alan and get me breakfast, but once I go to work, I can't do that.
