I decided to work from home today. I'm not offering a reason unless asked and then I will say it has to with my son Alan (even though he's in daycare as usual). Somehow I was not in NYC on 9/11 (jury duty) and I'm feeling I should be home today - I even will reschedule my cats vet appointment for 7PM tonight until next week.

My company is funny however. I get an e-mail yesterday that there's a 4:45PM company meeting, no reason given. I wasn't able to call into the meeting but e-mailed my boss to findout what's up. He called me to tell what happened. Our office is being redone and it finally started Monday with a wall being put up so 1/2 the office can be done first. Apparently, according to my boss, someone complained to OSHA about the construction without going to their manager or the company president (we are a office/company between 80-100 people total everywhere, 60-70 in our office). So OSHA came in and more paperwork had to be done making the company president mad. I wonder if this the same person who complained about all the pregnant people being able to work from home. (The company president isn't fond of telecommuting, but it had to be done with the office construction.) It wasn't me who complained to OSHA, although the noise on Monday with a wallframe being rivited together was annoying.

He's grabbing at lots of things at daycare and home.
He's really good at being on his stomach and holding his head up.
He has no teeth (yet).
He rolled on his tummy this AM in his crib. He did that once before and
I've had him roll from back to tummy when putting him on his tummy but it
looked more like a lopsided flop than a deliberate roll. He is very good
at going sideways however, so maybe he rolls better than I give him
credit for.
He makes lots of noises including a grunting one and some coos and
babbles. He LOVES to blow rasberries.
Last night my DH was playing with him. He was letting Alan hit an old
keyboard with his hands by holding him near it with Alan on his tummy.
Eventually DH let go, and Alan wound up playing the keyboard with his
chin. It was cute, and actually his
random bangs sounded pretty good - maybe he's got some musical talent
(like DH)?

Got an e-mail from an internet list owner who is the area of conflict.
His unit flies at 1 AM 3/20 (their time).
I hope he retuns to his base and to the US safely.
