I decided to work from home today. I'm not offering a reason unless asked and then I will say it has to with my son Alan (even though he's in daycare as usual). Somehow I was not in NYC on 9/11 (jury duty) and I'm feeling I should be home today - I even will reschedule my cats vet appointment for 7PM tonight until next week.
My company is funny however. I get an e-mail yesterday that there's a 4:45PM company meeting, no reason given. I wasn't able to call into the meeting but e-mailed my boss to findout what's up. He called me to tell what happened. Our office is being redone and it finally started Monday with a wall being put up so 1/2 the office can be done first. Apparently, according to my boss, someone complained to OSHA about the construction without going to their manager or the company president (we are a office/company between 80-100 people total everywhere, 60-70 in our office). So OSHA came in and more paperwork had to be done making the company president mad. I wonder if this the same person who complained about all the pregnant people being able to work from home. (The company president isn't fond of telecommuting, but it had to be done with the office construction.) It wasn't me who complained to OSHA, although the noise on Monday with a wallframe being rivited together was annoying.
