Busy weekend + 1 day.

Saturday - took Alan to the clothing swap. Didn't find any jackets or snowsuits but found some cute shortalls for next summer (3 pair, vintage gymboree, disney, oshgosh) and a bathing suit + matching terry jacket. And a brand new NY Giants warmup suit (if it doesn't fit Alan yet, I'll pass it to a friend). And maybe one or two other things.

Then all 3 of us went to St. Clares Harvest festival. This was the last one :( as they had trouble getting volunteers. We didn't take Alan on the rides or stay long as the weather was rainy, but we did find some buys in the "shops". (They get tons of donatations they sell for $). Got one of those little tikes pianos for 1.00 and some books and clothes for Alan (no snow suit/jacket alas).

Then DH had to take it easy when we got home because of his sore rear (which is better now, FORTUNATELY). So we didnt' do much else (that I can remember).

Sunday, we had the handyman comeby. DH and Alan + 2 others went to the chinese buffet, while I got just about the last of the needed supplies. Alan again ate a ton from what I heard. So far all the wallpaper is stripped in the kitchen and glue removed from 3/4 of it (with windex of all things!). And we put in the new stove hood :) Hopefully this week we will get the new to us stove and dishwasher...and perhaps give our old one to a friend who could use it. I also did some laundry, still have tons to go (lots of Alan's new things to pre-wash, still)

Yesterday was Yom Kippor. I didn't go to work, Alan stayed home. DH did some stuff - haircut, new car tires, some work at home. Alan and I had califlower in cheese sauce for lunch. We both liked it. I clipped some coupons and we hit the triple coupons at Shoprite - originally it was about 119, with coupons, store promotions (10.00 off for 75.00 in baby stuff previously purchased, we got 20.00 off somehow) and 2 2.00 forumula checks - it came to 49.00 ior so. Not bad. We had Hormel Beef Tips for dinner (premade in the meat department). They are very good. I also made some Krusteze Blueberry muffin mix which turned out well.

We've got NOTHING done for his birthday party, but should be able to do it during the week. We need food, special food for a few friends*, cake, and balloons. I think we've got utensils left over from past parties. And we might make fruit salad.

*We're doing a deli platter. We will get some kosher meat for people who eat that and for one friend with allergies, we will buy her 1/4 lb of deli meat she can eat (no msg).
